Hamamah: Advanced Leadership Institute

Hamamah workshops focus on general leadership skills as well as special interest leadership clinics. These mentor-based intensives prepare teens for real-world scenarios and future camp leadership opportunities. For current 10th-11th graders.

CampSight Photography

CampSight is an opportunity to study the art of photography with world-renowned Israeli artist, Zion Ozeri. The customized curriculum encompasses intensive technical and artistic lessons while studying the subject matter of one’s personal connection to Judaism and Jewish people. For current 8th-11th graders.

TY Xtreme Outdoors

TY Extreme Outdoors is a custom-designed series of nature expeditions promoting  independence, the ability to work in a group, and personal self-confidence. Master the ropes course, a four-day kayaking trip, and a challenging bike ride across the Catskills Mountains of Upstate New York.  For current 8th-11th graders.

Tell Your Own Story with Writopia Lab

This summer, TY is proud to partner with Writopia Lab, a national youth, teen, and young adult program that fosters literacy and critical thinking through creative writing. Through Writopia Lab’s innovative workshop method, teens are empowered as peer leaders as they gain skills in writing, editing, and effective communication. For current 9th-11th graders.

Explore the Power of Jewish and Israeli Art

The Arts@TY program will challenge teens to come together as an artistic community. Participants will have full access to the brand new arts village facility and the guidance of a professional artist to develop their vision, hone technical skills, and strengthen their ability to tell a story and engage others through art. For current 8th-11th graders.

TY Music Studio

The TY Music Studio explores the landscape of modern Israeli, Jewish, and Middle Eastern music with Israeli producer Rami Carmel and American singer/songwriter Noah Wilker. Instructors will help participants arrange, record, and perform their own interpretations of modern Israeli Music, all while encouraging them to find and share their individual and collective voice. For current 8th-11th graders.

"Krav Maga" Self Defense Training

The self defense intensive provides teens with expert instruction by an active IDF Krav Maga instructor and triple European kick-boxing champion, Yulia Sachkova. Through this technique, teens will learn heightened awareness of their surroundings, train to increase physical fitness levels, and develop tactics for personal defense. For current 8th-11th graders.



BaMitbach: Teen Culinary Experience

Led by Chef Jonathan Posner of Wandering Foods, participants will gain serious and practical culinary skills such as proper knife technique, kitchen organization, and recipe development in a setting that puts Judaism and Jewish food at the center of learning. No experience with either a knife nor frying pan or even kitchen is necessary. For current 8th- 11th graders.

The Alternative Summer Break (ASB) Program is privileged to team up with Repair the World, whose goal is to transform neighborhoods, cities, and lives through meaningful service experiences rooted in Jewish values, learning, and history. For current 8th-11th graders.
